Version 1.0 of my long awaited Skyward Sword HD texture pack is now available to download!

This is the uncompressed, ultra HQ version- meaning the performance cost of this one may be high.
Low-end PC owners, do not fear! I am releasing a performance version shortly.
Of course, the pack is still a work in progress, so look out for future versions and add-on downloads for those who already downloaded v1.0.
HOW TO INSTALL:
-Unzip the farontea_skywardsword_1.0.zip file
-Paste its contents into your Documents/Dolphin Emulator/Load/Textures/SOUP01 file directory (Note:SOUP01 file is the PAL directory title. This file title will vary depending on the region of you Skyward Sword ISO file- SUSHi or SOUE01).
-Check the "Load Custom Textures" checkbox in your Dolphin Emulator graphics settings.
If anyone wants to give me some feedback on my work or just suggest any particular texture in the game that needs work, I would love to hear it.

Thanks man. Im gonna use it for now ( cause my pc it isn't that good ). I hope i get a new graphic card and more ram to run it in high fps. I admire your work, keep it up.

dude, i have a problem, i cant get the textures working on my dolphin emulator and i dont know why. I'll try to find the problem but if i cant, can you upload the emulator you're using ?
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly went wrong? Did the game crash? Or are the textures just not loading?
DeleteI am using the latest Ishiiruka build (https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-ishiiruka-dolphin-custom-version) , but the build of dolphin doesn't really matter for textures, as long as the version you have has the option to "Load Custom Textures" in your graphics settings then you should be good.
Just make sure that you put the main file (SOUP01) into the right place. Newer dolphin builds use the file path described above (Documents/Dolphin Emulator/Load/Textures/) however in older builds, this folder is actually in the same containing folder as your dolphin exe. File (Dolphin/Users/Load/textures).
Also make sure you renamed the SOUP01 file to match the region of your ISO file.
Can I ask which build you are using so I can test it myself?

ReplyDeletei dont really know what build im using xD but in the folder says "Dolphin-MotionPlus-3.0-410-x64", and the game's fine, it's just not loading the textures. I'll try with the version you gave me. Also, i did all of the stuff you said, its not the first time i do this xD. Thanks for all man :)
ReplyDeleteSorry for your troubles! I'm releasing the performance version of the pack tommorow, along with V.2.0 which updates most of the Skyloft textures, so hopefully those will work for you! If you're still having problems, report back to me :)
